RV Bathroom Upgrades

So many little projects. This one was fairly straightforward once we had a bit of time.

When we bought the Bounder we planned to replace the beat up bathroom sink, unlike the rest of the coach it was just too grungy to save. Plus we hated to cheap faucet.

We ordered a replacement RV sink from Amazon, it is identical to the old one right down to its plastic construction but that means I didn't have to do any work on the counter top.

Our new lovely sink

And we picked up a Delta faucet for the sink on clearance at Lowes near the RV park. The previous one was also pretty grungy and plastic, both our new faucets are chrome. We like to be a little classy in our home.

Our new tub spout in our shower.

I also installed a new tub spout in our shower because we picked up a $10 one at Camping World.

A couple quick tips for this project: If your RV lacks shutoffs on the fixtures like ours you have to turn off the water in the whole coach. So consider any other projecta you might have. I our case I also swapped out the plastic tub spout for a metal one. Mount the faucet and tailpiece to the sink bowl before you install it in the counter, it's much much easier than messing with them under the vanity. Be very careful of the PEX type water line fittings. Don't crack them or cross thread them, or you will have a world of fun ahead of you. Also they are more prone to dripping a little so be sure to pressure test the lines before buttoning things up.
